HELEN's TROY is a one-woman Tour-de-Force.  A masterful writer and charismatic performer, Megan illuminates the complex life of Helen, unfolding a deeply human drama of love, responsibility, powerlessness and understanding.

 

JANUARY:  Time off to write a script for my daughter.  I'll be the Drama Teacher for Claire's 6th Grade Drama Club at Ogden Elementary.  Working on a one-hour long version of Dame Ragnel called THE RIDDLE QUEST.  Felt like the right story for 6th graders to chew on.

 

FEBRUARY 8 at 11 AM:  St. Patrick Women's Club in Lake Forest, Illinois.  THE LAST SUPPER, According to Mary Magdelene.  At the O'Gara Parish Center.

 

FEBRUARY 10 at 4 PM:  Nadine's Festival for the Arts at the La Grange Park Library.  I'll be telling FIREBIRD with my musician friend Jeff Teppema.  Family friendly show with free admission.

 

FEBRUARY 15 and 16:  Storytelling at the Prairie Center in Schaumburg, Illinois.  I'll be a featured teller with Gay Ducey and Willy Claflin.  School shows on Friday.  Saturday starts with Workshop at 12, 2 and 4 PM.  Evening concert at 8 PM.

 

FEBRUARY 23 at 7:30:  Village Players in Oak Park, Illinois.  A new concert series in an intimate black box theater.  UNEXPECTED LOVE, is an evening of stories for older teens and adults featuring Jim May and Megan Wells.  We'll be telling our own sets but also telling in tandem, LIME VANILLA ICE from Ray Bradbury's Dandelion Wine.

 

FEBRUARY 28:  Barbara Rose School in South Barrington, FIRE IN BOOMTOWN

 
MARCH 9 at 2 PM:  HELEN'S TROY for the International Club of Wilmette, Illinois.
 
APRIL 5 and 6, 1 - 5 PM:  Storytelling Workshop for High Schoolers at the Theater of Western Springs, Cchildren's Theatre of Western Springs, 708-246-4043 www.theatreofwesternsprings.com
 
APRIL 11 - 13:  GOING DEEP Festival in Bethlehem Indiana.  Telling HELEN'S TROY and leading the related workshop the following morning.
 
APRIL 28 at 12:30 PM:  Cossitt Elementary School in La Grange, Illinois, FIRE IN BOOMTOWN.
 
OCTOBER :  RAY BRADBURY STORYTELLING FESTIVAL, Artistic Directory and Featured teller for this annual festival presented by the Waukegan Public Library at the Genesee Theater, Waukegan, IL.   for more information please see:  www.bradburystorytellingfestival.org
 
OCTOBER 11 through NOVEMBER 30, Saturdays at 5 PM and Sundays at 7 PM:  EverGreen Theater Company at the Comedy Shrine in Naperville, Illinois.  My adaptation of Bram Stoker's DRACULA will be running as a one-woman show.
