Megan Wells has been
touring her epic story experiences for the last fifteen years. Prior to
her "conversion" to story as an art form, Megan worked as an actress
and director in Chicago. She was awarded a Joseph Jefferson award for
Directing with Chicago's Absolute Theater Company. In collaboration
with songwriter Amy Lowe, Megan wrote and recorded Fire in Boomtown, a
story/musical about the Chicago Fire which won the 1999 Ed Press Distinguished
Achievement Award as well as a Parent’s Choice Gold. Megan performs in
theaters, festivals, libraries, schools, museums, corporations, retreats and
house concerts. Wherever people gather, stories can be told. Megan has an
MFA in directing from Illinois State and a BFA from Illinois Wesleyan. |
